UPDATE (3/16, 1:15pm): Allerton Park is CLOSED to the public until further notice. See the latest information here.
To support social distancing practices and limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Allerton has implemented the following precautions:
–The Park (gardens and trails) will have limited hours of 8am-6pm. The Visitor Center, Greenhouse Café, and Mansion are closed to the public until further notice.
–All Allerton-sponsored public events of any size have been cancelled. View our Public Event statement here.
–Bathrooms are available in the office building across the sidewalk from the Visitor Center. (See the map here.) These facilities will be cleaned multiple times throughout the day, and sanitizing wipes will be available for visitors to disinfect fixtures, doorknobs, and light switches as they leave.
–Bring your own water; the only functioning public water fountain inside the Visitor Center will not be accessible.
–All visitors should be vigilant about hand washing and be mindful of distancing themselves from fellow Park users.
–Please be extra cautious when deciding whether to visit, and stay home if you’re at all suspicious of being ill.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we attempt to continue to serve the community as a resource to enjoy nature, history, and art. We encourage you to safely and appropriately utilize Allerton to find peace and inspiration during this challenging time. We wholeheartedly look forward to seeing and serving you again soon!
