Completed in 1900, the Allerton Mansion was the former home of artist and philanthropist Robert Allerton until it was donated to the University of Illinois in 1946. Learn the unique story of the Allerton family and Robert’s estate.
Formal Garden Tour
Allerton Park has 14 formal gardens, created by Robert Allerton between 1899 and 1946. Take a break from the grind and get outside to experience the beauty of each garden, while listening to the history behind its creation.
Offering three unique delivery styles, SMARTpathED/Escape puts a spark in traditional team-building approaches to engage attendees in thought-provoking discussions, challenging puzzles, and creative collaboration.
Interactive scavenger hunts have teams racing to see who can complete the questions first! Available for both inside and out, hunts typically take 45-60 minutes.
Outdoor Challenge Courses (April – October only)
Offered at the 4-H Memorial Camp within Allerton Park, these programs are led by highly-trained facilitators. Activities can be tailored for each individual group according to the goals and the abilities of their participants.
