Accessibility

Because of the historic nature of the property, not all areas of Allerton are accessible. You can find an accessible suggested path map here. Please contact us at 217-333-3287 or allertoninfo@illinois.edu if you need assistance planning your visit.

If you need accommodations in order to participate in an upcoming event, please email Olivia at owarren@illinois.edu.

Our Accessible Allerton fund will allow more people to experience the history, nature, and art found at the estate, which was built over 100 years ago by Robert Allerton.

We understand that the term ‘accessibility’ is ever-expanding, and this fund will help Allerton adapt to new trends and ongoing needs. As we embark on initiatives to repurpose historic buildings and increase programming, we want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy these opportunities equally. -Derek Peterson, Director
