Wildlife Expedition

Allerton is home to so many animals! Find out more during Wildlife Expedition from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3-7! Have you seen turkey vultures circling overhead? Or heard the frogs croaking by the Reflecting Pond? Our goal this week is to find as many native animals as we can (or at least find signs of them). We’ll make animal track molds to take home, then go out in search of the animals that would make them outside.

Register 5- to 7-year-olds as Allerton Acorns, while 8- to 12-year-olds are Allerton Adventurers.

$220/person for the week*. Add extended days for $15 (7-8 a.m.) or $35 (3-5:30 p.m.).

*Registration fees include lunch, two snacks, a T-shirt and all necessary materials. Campers will need to bring their own water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray and a change of clothes/shoes.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Register online (RECOMMENDED): Links to each week of camp will be available on the “Youth” section of our event calendar on March 13 at 9 a.m.  You will be able to fill out the registration form and pay for as many weeks as you need online.  (If a week of camp is sold out, you will automatically be asked if you would like to be put on the wait-list.)  If you need assistance, please contact Sarah Putman at sputman2@illinois.edu.

Register in person: Fill out this form, print out, and bring to the Gift Shop of the McCraw Family Visitor Center (Wed-Sun, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).  Be sure to check camp availability before submitting registration in person.  Check individual camp availability on the “Youth” section of our event calendar.
