Celebrate spring at our inaugural Bluebell Festival: A Folk School Fundraiser on May 3-5! This festive community event will feature our visitor-favorite Plant Sale, a vendor fair and craft demonstrations at The Market, live music, workshops*, food (food trucks + Greenhouse Café), drinks, new-release merchandise, and more! Find the complete schedule here. Come for a day or make a weekend of it and stay overnight for a discounted rate! (Learn more and make your reservation here). All proceeds and donations will support The Farms: An Allerton Folk School.
The weekend-long Festival kicks off Friday, May 3 (5 to 9 p.m.) in the Main Parking Lot with the Plant Sale, live music (6 to 8 p.m.), food trucks, and a cash bar. The fun continues Saturday, May 4 with the Plant Sale and food trucks in the Main Parking Lot (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Don’t miss The Market (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in the Mansion – featuring goods for sale, demonstrations from our fabulous Folk School instructors, live music (12 to 5 p.m.), and a cash bar! Wrap up your weekend Sunday, May 5 – head out to the Main Parking Lot to grab a coffee (Moon Bean Coffee Truck, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or something to to eat (Mamma D’s Smokehouse Food Truck, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) while you shop the Plant Sale (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
We hope you will join us for this opportunity to connect with fellow community members — while learning more about (and supporting!) The Farms: An Allerton Folk School!
No registration is required. (Some workshops require registration, find details here.)
Donations can be made online here or in boxes at the Plant Sale, The Market, and throughout the Park. Your donation will support The Farms’ vision of “creating a community through experiential learning, storytelling, and accessible creative expressions in a restorative environment.”
*Workshops are still being planned and will be added to the schedule as they are finalized.
If you need disability-related accommodations to participate, please email Olivia Bunting at owarren@illinois.edu.
