SOLD OUT – Youth Art Studio
Allerton Park and the Monticello Area Arts Council are partnering to offer a Youth Art Studio for 3rd-8th graders, inspired by the unique beauty of Allerton Park and the philosophy of Robert Allerton to live life as art.
Local artist and educator Belinda Beccue will lead students through multiple projects, including plein air canvas painting, printmaking, watercolor, scratchboard, and upcycled art created from reusable materials. Artists will begin their day by touring the formal gardens and natural areas to draw inspiration for their studio work, and the day will culminate with an art exhibit and reception in the Greenhouse Auditorium at 4pm. (Find the complete schedule here.)
This program will introduce a variety of materials and techniques, expand skill sets, and develop mastery and expressive style of the young artist.
$80/person (All art materials included; artists should bring their own lunch.)
