Volunteer Orientation

Generous volunteers help serve our visitors, preserve the natural areas and improve this spectacular space for future generations. Volunteering provides Allerton with necessary and desired assistance while giving the community opportunities to learn new skills, meet like-minded people and have a direct impact on the park.

New volunteers should attend this orientation for general information on the many ways to help the park, as well as learn about the MyImpact.com program that is used to schedule volunteer shifts, track hours and provide volunteer information.

All sessions are scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be held in the Greenhouse Auditorium. A Zoom link can be shared upon request. Additional questions can be referred to Sarah Putman at sputman2@illinois.edu or by calling 217-333-3287.

Free, but please register here for a session if you are a new volunteer.

If you will need disability-related accommodations in order to participate, please email Sarah Putman at sputman2@illinois.edu.
