The Farms: Tree Identification Walk
Join Illinois Extension Educator Sarah Vogel on a Tree Identification Walk from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. Meet at the picnic area near the Main Parking Lot then explore both native and introduced species at the park, learn their identifying features and discuss healthy practices for trees in our own yards. Participants will leave with a renewed appreciation for trees and arboriculture!
Feel free to stop by the Greenhouse Café for lunch before the walk.
$10/person (5 & under free and no ticket required). Register here by Oct. 16. All sales are final.

About Sarah Vogel
Sarah Vogel is the Horticulture and Natural Resources educator for DeWitt, Macon, and Piatt Counties. She offers programming regarding greenhouse production, container gardening, vegetable gardening, managing garden weeds, landscaping principles, rainscaping, composting, tree identification, tree and shrub pruning, tree selection, pruning evergreens, and urban forest management among other topics.
Sarah oversees the Master Gardener program in DeWitt, Macon, and Piatt Counties and contributes to statewide programs such as Gardener’s Corner and Four Seasons. She can be reached at sarahv@illinois.edu.
