The Farms: Saturday Stargazing
Experience Level: Beginner
Enjoy a night of stargazing, finding constellations and spotting deep space objects through telescopes. Participants are welcome to arrive any time between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., bring a picnic and play lawn games as the sun sets. The best views start at 8:45 p.m., with the event wrapping up by 10:30 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring a telescope if they own one, but it is not required in order to participate.
$5/person (all ages). Register here. Registration is encouraged by Sept. 6, but you may also show up and pay the night of the event. All sales are final.
NOTE: This event is contingent on the weather, and will be cancelled if there are clouds, rain or other weather that would obstruct the night sky.
If you will need disability-related accommodations in order to participate, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Champaign Urbana Astronomical Society is devoted to the promotion of astronomy and enjoyment of the night skies. The welcome you to join them!
CUAS shares their knowledge and instruments with the public to show and tell about all things relating to astronomy at our Public Skywatches and at special events throughout the year. There are many things about the universe we live in that are neat. (That’s a code phrase for learning!) CUAS would love to share some of that with you.
