Naturalist Talk with Michael Baker

Come hear current Allerton Naturalist-in-Residence Michael Baker discuss his research, experience in foraging and his time at Allerton Park at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 in the Allerton Music Barn.

Baker will also talk about his professional collaborations with businesses and other outreach work with his organization Edible Illinois. He has also led several foraging hikes during his residency.

Although foraging is only allowed at Allerton under the guidance of park staff or approved naturalists, this presentation will allow you to learn about plants you have in your yard or see throughout the state that are edible; as well as some to stay away from.
