LIVE! Peony Garden Path & Bloom Update

Join Mindy and Bridget live in the Peony Garden every Thursday in May for an update on the bloom progression and accessible path fundraising totals! By the end of this year’s peony bloom, we’re trying to raise $50,000 to fund an accessible path in this visitor-favorite garden. (Check out our progress and make your gift here!) Learn more about the project, how you can help, and keep an eye on how many of our 70 varieties are in bloom so you don’t miss this year’s “firework-like” display! (Expected peak bloom is mid-to-late May.)

About the Peony Garden: Designed in the 1920s, the Peony Garden was one of Robert Allerton’s favorites. Over 1,600 peonies in nearly 70 varieties create a spectacular display of colors, ranging from white to pink to deep scarlet. The Peony Garden is nationally renowned among peony lovers, but has limited accessibility due to its pea gravel path. You can help increase the enjoyment of this once-private estate by making a gift to install an accessible path, ensuring everyone can experience Allerton in inviting and meaningful ways.
