The Farms: Holiday Candle Making Workshop

Experience Level: Beginner

Get ready for a fun and festive holiday-themed Holiday Candle Making Workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 in The Studio, where you will be able to blend your own scents to create a lovely, festive candle. Professional candle artist Kayla Brown of Fire Doll Studio will lead you through this magical candle-making journey.

Brown will also share some fun history, science, and techniques along with her expertise as you create your own candle!

Materials — including an apron — will be provided, but dress accordingly as wax may still get on your clothes.

$65/person (18+). Register here by 5 p.m. Nov. 29. All sales are final. Space is limited.

NOTE: Your candle will require two hours of cure time, so will need to be picked up the next day; or it can be shipped to you for a fee of $8.

About the artist

Kayla Brown is an artist and owner of Fire Doll Studio, which was established in 2011 in the kitchen of a small studio apartment in Champaign. It recently moved to a larger location at 29 E. Main St. in Champaign.

Brown has a love of beautiful candles, and as part of her lifelong battle with asthma created a health-conscious natural candle that is friendly to the airway and can still fill a room with impactful fragrance and vibes.
