Folk Dancing Classes
Folk Dancing Classes will be offered at Allerton Park at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, and at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 in the Mansion Library.
The instructor will be Judy Lachman, a retired teacher who has been dancing since college. She notes that folk dancing is not only good exercise but is a stress reliever. In this class, participants will also learn the origin of the various international dances they are taught.

Registration is $10/person per session, and classes will be limited to 30 each. The primary focus will be on dancing, so wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
About the instructor
Lachman has combined a love of teaching and dancing into a retirement career and has taught international folk dancing to children and adults in a variety of settings. She recently taught a class through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute under the auspices of the University of Illinois.
Judy knows the dances well and is able to teach them in a clear and concise manner.
