Fireside Friday — Whittle Bit of Fun

One of the best things about summer is doing things around the campfire! Come join us for Fireside Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 18 in The Meadow Picnic Area for a lesson in knife safety and whittling from Natural Areas Manager, Nate Beccue. Bring your own knife to the event and whittle your own s’more stick, plus another item out of the piece of soft basswood provided to you.

A cash bar will be open from 6 – 9 p.m. S’mores will be served. Please bring your own knives and lawn chairs.

$5/person (ages 5 & under free). Register here. All sales are final.

Fireside Fridays are also scheduled for Sept. 15 (stargazing), Oct. 13 (spiders, bats and creepy crawlies) and Nov. 3 (subject TBD).
