Ever wanted to go camping with your kids, but unsure of where to start? Join Derek Peterson as he gives tips and tricks on how to camp with your kids. This two-day gathering style session will provide the basics you need for your next family camping trip.

A Zoom-based online session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 will focus on supplies that are needed, camping expectations, what is needed prior to heading out, and potential pitfalls.

On Saturday, Sept. 16, join Peterson as he leads you on an afternoon hike around the south side of Allerton and shares stories and experiences during the walk. Then camp out by the Music Barn and cook meals together over a fire. On Sunday morning, share a big breakfast over the fire with fellow campers before heading home.

$25/family total for both sessions. Register here by Sept. 12. Registration fees include all materials. All sales are final.

If you will need disability-related accommodations in order to participate, please email owarren@illinois.edu.
