Zoo Improv Show
Get ready for a delightfully unpredictable time at a Zoo Improv Show on Friday, March 28 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Mansion Gallery. The show — free* and open to the public — is part of our March 28-30 Weekend Wind Down, where you can extend your stay with a discounted lodging and take part in other optional activities. (Learn more about the Weekend Wind Down here.)
For decades, Zoo Improv has served up laughter in the Champaign-Urbana area with performers hailing from across the area. They love mixing up their set with fast-paced, short-form and richly woven long-form scenes, because variety is the spice of improv! Zoo Improv is proud to be a socially conscious group, using improv to foster connection and spread good vibes. Be ready to make suggestions to be used onstage in Zoo Improv’s sketches!
You may also see a familiar face in Kyle Tasch, a member of Zoo Improv who has taught Improve Your Improv courses at The Farms: An Allerton Folk School since it launched in the fall of 2023. His next series at The Farms will be April 17-May 29. Click here for more info and to register.
The Solarium Bar will be open to the public between 5 and 10 p.m.
*Since this is not a ticketed event, seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Overflow seating will be available in rooms adjacent to the Gallery.
You don’t need to stay overnight to take in the show or hang out in the Solarium Bar, but we highly recommend it! Rooms can be reserved for a discounted rate of $110/night + tax, which includes two free drink tokens per room. View rooms here and book online or by calling 217-333-3287.
If you will need disability-related accommodations to participate, please email Christina Calcagno at clc@illinois.edu.
