We recently celebrated the retirement of Associate Director of Business Operations Jan Gill.
Jan started working at Allerton in 2015 as a retiree rehire after a successful 37-year career at the University of Illinois Office of Business and Financial Services, retiring as Assistant Controller in UAFR (University Accounting & Financial Reporting).
She quickly began making her impact at Allerton, instituting new procedures and protocols that created necessary efficiencies for our growing organization. The following eight years have seen significant increases in programs, gift funds, and overall revenue – and Jan has been instrumental in keeping Allerton’s financial successes on track. The entire staff is thankful for her time and commitment.
Jan was no stranger to volunteering either, and — among other things — could be seen each year helping out with the Annual Plant Sale. She was and is a huge supporter of the Park.
We miss you, Jan, and wish you the best in your retirement!
