Former Site of the South Tower

Originally designed by John Gregg in 1938, the South Tower was built soon after. This folly in the woods served as a place to pause on the path from the Sangamon River to the Sun Singer. Razed by the University in the late 1950s/early 1960s, this structure has now come under review as a potential historic site restoration.
