Job Description: Bartenders will mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests at conferences, weddings, and other events at Allerton Park & Retreat Center while maintaining a high level of customer service. A quality bartender would be knowledgeable about mixology and is capable of mixing traditional drinks as well as crafting creative cocktails.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Verify the identification and age of customers
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
• Process payment from customers
• Clean glasses and other barware
• Perform inventory counts
• Stock and prepare bar set-up for events, as well as tear down and clean-up bar after events
• Other duties as assigned to include other catering-related tasks
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• At least one year of experience in a hospitality or food and beverage position
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Rate of Pay: $12-$15/hour based on experience
Dates: This is an extra help position that would be scheduled based upon our event schedule and bartending needs. Days of the week and hours vary based on those needs.
