Third Annual Plant Sale

Help us renovate one of Robert Allerton’s original gardens! Join us on Mother’s Day weekend (May 7-8) for our Third Annual Plant Sale, to raise funds for Phase Two of the Bulb Garden renovation. We will have annuals, herbs, and perennials, including arranged hanging baskets - perfect for gifts! The sale is open from 9am-5pm, and will be located next to the Visitor Center.

Third Saturday Garden Tour

Allerton Park has 14 formal gardens, created by Robert Allerton between 1899 and 1946. Join one of our Third Saturday Garden Tours (April – October) and experience the beauty of each garden while listening to the history behind its creation. Garden tours start at 10am in the Visitor Center. Tours typically last 45-60 minutes, and all ages are welcome. No registration is required. Donations are appreciated! Native Tree Identification Workshop

Spend the day polishing your native tree identification skills with Allerton Natural Areas Manager, Nate Beccue. This all-day workshop will focus on trees native to East Central Illinois.
