Third Saturday Garden Tour

Allerton Park has 14 formal gardens, created by Robert Allerton between 1899 and 1946. Come follow a garden tour and experience the beauty of each garden while listening to the history behind its creation. Garden tours typically last 45-60 minutes. All ages welcome. Join Allerton Natural Areas Manager, Nate Beccue on a hike along the Sangamon River. Highlights of this hike include seeing the largest trees at Allerton, the largest swamp white oak tree in IL and tasting a paw paw (if we can beat the opossums to them)!
