Natural Areas Exploration Hike – Willow Branch Creek

Willow Branch winds for more than half a mile through Allerton Park before entering the Sangamon River. Join Allerton Park Natural Areas Manager, Nate Beccue on an off-trail hike to explore this tributary as it winds through a seldom seen part of Allerton. The Sangamon River running through Allerton Park has a high diversity of mussel species; 17 species have been documented alive in the park since 2007.
