Originally Robert Allerton’s garden shed, the Visitor Center building was renovated to office space in 2005, and updated to serve as the Visitor Center in 2023, with support from the McCraw family.
Find brief information on the history of the estate, information on the gardens and natural areas, and Park maps. Our knowledgeable staff, available during Gift Shop hours*, can provide specific recommendations for your visit and answer questions.

We are pleased to offer a limited number of accessibility power chairs to guests ages 16+. Power chairs must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance.
