Summer Day Camp presented by Busey Bank

Summer Day Camp presented by Busey Bank

Get your child outside all day to discover art, nature, and science through hands-on exploration. Campers are split into two age groups: 5- to 7-year-olds (Acorns) and 8- to 11-year-olds (Adventurers), and will spend their time doing whole-group and small-group, structured and camper-led exploration activities in the great outdoors.

Camp will provide your child with opportunities to learn new skills, exercise responsibility, and understand their place in the natural world — in addition to playing games, making new friends, and having a whole lot of fun! (Adventurers also have the opportunity to go to the Monticello Family Aquatic Center twice a week. Learn more here.)

Camp is held June 8 to August 7, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (No camp the week of June 29.)

Each week of camp features a different theme and requires registration for each week. Find the weekly themes here.

Early Arrivers (7-8 a.m.) and After Care (3-5:30 p.m.) extended-day options are available for an additional fee.

Camp Registration: $200/week*
Lunch: $25/week
Extended-day: $15/AM and $35/PM (includes an afternoon snack)

*Two snacks, a camp T-shirt, and all necessary materials and supplies are included in your registration. Lunch can be purchased for the week ($25) or a lunch can be sent from home. Campers should bring their own water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and a change of clothes/shoes.

A limited number of partial scholarships are available. Scholarships will be awarded as a percentage of camp fees, based on need. Complete a scholarship application here. (Application deadline: Tuesday, March 10 at noon.)

REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Register online (RECOMMENDED): Links to each week of camp will be available on the “Youth Programs” section of our event calendar on March 11 at 9 a.m. You will be able to fill out the registration form and pay for as many weeks as you need online.  (If a week of camp is sold out, you will automatically be asked if you would like to be put on the wait list.)  If you need assistance, please contact Sarah at sputman2@illinois.edu.

Register in-person: Registration forms to print and fill out can be found here. Be sure to check camp availability on the “Youth Programs” section of our event calendar before submitting your forms in-person.

If your camper will need disability-related accommodations to participate, please contact Sarah at sputman2@illinois.edu.
