Our own Piatt County Master Gardener volunteers have received the State Master Gardener Teamwork Award for their work on the Welcome Garden!
The State Master Gardener Teamwork Award recognizes Master Gardener projects that are impactful, innovative, and replicable statewide. The goal of sharing excellent projects is to inspire other Master Gardener groups to grow their programs and maximize the education of their projects.
A big THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who designed, implemented, and continue to maintain the Welcome Garden, with over 700 (!) volunteer hours since 2015, including: Karen Gentry, George Johnston, Anna Kaczmarek, Chris Keller, Kathy Lattz, Rosi McLeese, Judy Mitchell, Esther Nixon, Mare Payne, Kristin Pyatt, Mary Kay Randall, Mike Randall, Marita Romine, Jane Smith, Jane White, and Helen Wilding.
