DESCRIPTION:Experience Level: All skill levels (ages 16+) \nLearn how to arrange flowers like a pro at Arboretum Dahlia Flower Arranging on Saturday\, Sept. 19 from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Arboretum Shed located at 2302 South Lincoln Avenue in Urbana. \nDelight Flower Farm welcomes friends & friendly folks to learn about a variety of fall flowers and the bouquet-making elements as they play with fresh cut flowers grown on the Farm. There will be plenty of the season’s star – dahlias! – as well as zinnias\, amaranth\, celosia and more. \nVases are included so students can design their own bouquet to take home or gift to someone. \n$65/person*. Register here. Registration closes Sept. 12 or when capacity is reached. DESCRIPTION:Experience Level: Beginner (ages 16+) \nAssemble your own unique wreath adorned with dried flowers at an Arboretum Everlasting Wreath Workshop on Saturday\, Nov. 14 from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Arboretum Shed located at 2302 South Lincoln Avenue in Urbana. \nInstructor Maggie Taylor will demonstrate how to create a wreath using a base of grapevine or willow and everlasting flowers harvested and dried at Delight Flower Farm. These dried wreaths are great to hang or use as a table centerpiece for upcoming holiday gatherings. \n$65/person*. Register here. Registration closes Nov. 7 or when capacity is reached. Depending on the time of year she may be teaching about fresh flowers or winter evergreen wreaths. Maggie’s teaching style is accessible\, informative\, encouraging and often humorous! Other capable farm crew members assist in teaching large groups.
