On June 20, the night of Summer Solstice, Allerton and WILL Classical brought you the first performance in this year’s modified Allerton Park Concert Series, featuring Viktor Krauss, on WILL-FM 90.9. You can now stream that special performance here.
About the Artist: Viktor Krauss was born in Champaign, IL, in 1969. In high school, Krauss explored the worlds of rock, soul, and R&B and began to write material that shared these new influences, eventually leading to the study of bass, voice, composition/theory with an emphasis in electronic and tape music at the @University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Touring has taken Krauss around the world. Some venues and television appearances include Carneige Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brian, and the Ryman Auditorium. In 1994 he began his extended tenure with respected singer-songwriter Lyle Lovett, touring and recording with the eclectic folk/country icon.
