Interview with Atron Regen of Atron Regen Interior

May 18, 2021 by Steve Hoffman

Thank you to Atron Regen, of Atron Regen Interior, for sponsoring our upcoming fundraiser, Picnic with the Peonies! Atron has been focusing on his interior design work for the last 40 years, but prior to that, he lived and worked at Allerton for six years. Read on to learn more:

Q: Can you tell us about your company including your services, mission, and goals?
A:
“My business is a total interior design service from concept to completion.”

Q: How long have you been in business and where are you located?
A: “Atron Regen Interior has been in business for 40 years. We work out of my house in a home-office/studio.”

Q: What will people get from your business that they will not get anywhere else?
A: High quality interior design that combines function with beauty.

Q: How would you describe your customers?
A: Clients are upbeat, successful and treasure the interior of their home or office, placing value on professional expertise to help achieve their interior goals.

Q: Tell us a little about your interest in Allerton.
A: I have a unique history with Allerton. I was in residence at the Allerton’s country house and worked there for six years. I was employed by the University of Illinois. The ad in the Daily Illini was for a main desk attendant, but after I interviewed, the scope changed and grew.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to audience to know?
A: There is a magical story about this that I would love to share in-person.  It was difficult to leave but I was inspired to plunge full-time into my interior design business and moved to Champaign-Urbana to begin the next chapter of my life. Ever since, I’ve been devoted to the study and practice of interior design. I will always be grateful for being in residence at one of the most wonderful country estates in America.
