Visitor Center Volunteer Orientation
The McCraw Family Visitor Center needs YOU! We are looking for high-energy individuals who love helping people and love Allerton Park to volunteer in the newly renovated Visitor Center. Volunteers will answer questions, connect visitors with resources, and make recommendations about what to see and do at the park. Volunteers will be an important first connection for old and new visitors alike.
Trainees should attend a visitor center volunteer orientation at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 4 or March 11 in the Auditorium of the Greenhouse. Registration is required for all training sessions. Trainees will be asked to submit a Volunteer Application and a signed Volunteer Waiver in order to proceed with training, if they have not done so before.
The orientation will cover all necessary information and responsibilities, provide study materials, and offer practice time for volunteers to work on interactions with Allerton visitors.
If you have any questions about the Visitor Center volunteer orientation or volunteering for Allerton, please contact Sarah Putman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
