Virtual! Art & Soul at Allerton: Colored Pencil
Join us for our next virtual Art & Soul Workshop; a series of classes brought to you by Allerton and Monticello Area Art Council. Take inspiration from the beauty and sculptural simplicity of nature. Local artist Belinda Beccue will instruct participants as we explore form, line, texture, and tonal scale.
Choose a wildflower, leaf, insect, bird, or other animal to observe and explore. You may draw from life or from a photograph. We will discuss color basics and using a color value scale to build line, tone, and form. Join us to learn how to communicate and capture the beauty and unique qualities of our natural world.
Use materials from home:
• Drawing paper (white or tan)
• Colored Pencils
• Mechanical or no. 2 pencil
• Eraser
Art materials do not have to be fancy to be able to create! This class is for all levels, including beginners. To create is to see the possibilities, solve problems, and have fun expressing yourself. We hope you can join us for an evening exploring art and nature!
Registration is required to participate and is limited to 100 people.
