The Farms: Saturday Stargazing
Experience Level: Beginner
Join the Champaign-Urbana Astronomical Society for Saturday Stargazing from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sept. 7, Oct. 5 and Nov. 2 at the Sun Singer.
Enjoy a night of stargazing, finding constellations and spotting deep space objects through telescopes. Arrive early, bring snacks and play lawn games as the sun sets. The best views start at 8:45 p.m., with the event wrapping up by 10:30 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring a telescope if they own one, but it is not required to participate.
$5/person (all ages). Register here. Registration is encouraged three days before each event, but you may also pay in-person the night of the event. All sales are final.
NOTE: This event is contingent on the weather, and will be cancelled if there are clouds, rain or other weather that would obstruct the night sky.
If you will need disability-related accommodations in order to participate, please email sputman2@illinois.edu.
About CUAS
The Champaign Urbana Astronomical Society is devoted to the promotion of astronomy and enjoyment of the night skies. They welcome you to join them!
CUAS shares their knowledge and instruments with the public to show and tell about all things relating to astronomy at their Public Skywatches and at special events throughout the year. There are many things about the universe we live in that are neat. (That’s a code phrase for learning!) CUAS would love to share some of that with you.
