Nature Journal Club
Join the next meeting of the Allerton Park Nature Journal Club on Saturday, June 17!
The Nature Journal Club is a community of naturalists, artists, scientists, writers, and students of all levels who come together without the fear of judgement to connect to nature and community through nature journaling.
Through monthly gatherings, open studio, hands-on techniques, workshops, and special events, the group will explore the vast Allerton Woodlands, prairies, and gardens to strengthen a love of nature and artistic expression.
If you love art, nature, and exploring how the two connect and thrive off one another, consider attending the next meeting of a new Allerton interest group from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at the picnic area near the Meadow.
At this meeting, the group will discuss membership, the mission and goals of the group, future gathering dates and locations, and, of course, create art. Please bring your favorite sketchbook, art supplies, drawing utensils, and something to sit on (i.e. blanket, stool, lawn chair).
Registration is not required. Questions can be directed to Olivia Bunting at owarren@illinois.edu.
