The bakery started as a cottage bakery\, moved to a commercial space in downtown last year after several years of operation\, and currently is dormant\, waiting for its next configuration as Hannah is off on maternity leave with her second child. She revels in naturally leavened bread and quality pastries\, with a focus on organic\, whole grains\, mostly stone-milled and local from Janie’s Mill in Ashkum\, IL. She hopes to be a positive force in our community and centralizes her work on participating in our local food systems. Hannah has been baking bread for nearly 10 years and has been supported over the years by many mentors and inspirations\, she is looking to pass on the knowledge she has gained and continue this pass-down wisdom. Bread and grains are a staple in our community; teaching the skills of baking help preserve their heritage.

She has been enjoying and teaching bobbin lace since. \nRobin demonstrated lace for many years at the annual Apple n Pork festival in Clinton IL\, numerous Civil War reenactments\, Fiber Festivals and even annual lace exhibitions in Paducah KY.  She has presented programs on lacemaking for various community organizations around McLean and Dewitt County. She is a member of various international lace groups/ organizations.

She is the recipient of a Visual Arts Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and five Artists Fellowship Grants from the Illinois Arts Council. Theide has been recognized for her excellence in teaching and is a Distinguished Member and Past-President of the Society of North American Goldsmiths.

Last Fall\, she taught a beginning dulcimer class for The Farms at Allerton Park\, where she had a wonderful time teaching the group and realized her love of teaching and passing on the tradition of playing a mountain dulcimer. Luckily\, there are several local jams throughout the week at Lincoln Square\, as well as several music festivals\, both online and in person.

She has been enjoying and teaching bobbin lace since. \nRobin demonstrated lace for many years at the annual Apple n Pork festival in Clinton IL\, numerous Civil War reenactments\, Fiber Festivals and even annual lace exhibitions in Paducah KY.  She has presented programs on lacemaking for various community organizations around McLean and Dewitt County. She is a member of various international lace groups/ organizations.

Last Fall\, she taught a beginning dulcimer class for The Farms at Allerton Park\, where she had a wonderful time teaching the group and realized her love of teaching and passing on the tradition of playing a mountain dulcimer. He is a “people person” who loves to interact with others and see them grow in their abilities and understanding of music\, encouraging them to new levels of excellence. Those who have learned from him have always commented that they learned many new things in ways that were easily understandable and created a hunger to learn even more.

DESCRIPTION:Experience Level: Beginner \nConnect with your body in a peaceful environment during Community Yoga on Wednesday\, November 18  from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Mansion Library. \nJosie Heck with Yoga Off the Square will help you gently flow through a series of poses with the intention of being mindful of and reconnecting with your mind and body. Perfect for all levels\, this class will leave students feeling refreshed and at ease. \nParticipants are strongly encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and to wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. \nRegistration is required here two days prior to each session. Community classes are donation-based to help support the Park and public programs.
