Kirby Winter Wellness Walk
UPDATE (1/12): Due to the current weather/road conditions, the Kirby Winter Wellness Walk is CANCELLED for January 12. We will extend it one more night – until Sunday, January 13 (5-8pm) – to give visitors one last night to see the Walk (in the snow)!
UPDATE: Due to popular demand – we will be extending the Kirby Winter Wellness Walk one more week! Open normal days/hours (Tu – Sat, 5-8pm), with the last day being Saturday, January 12. Just another reason to get outside and enjoy this lovely winter weather! (Please note that with a lot of rain recently, some parts of the walk are muddy and boots are advised.)
Over 700 visitors came out to experience the Kirby Winter Wellness Walk during Opening Night 2018! If you missed it – don’t worry, the Walk will be open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 5-8pm until January 12*. This year’s route is a sight to be seen – including our beloved Fu Dog Garden and a special new Dark Zone (flashlights recommended). Donations are appreciated and can be made online or in the Visitor Center during your walk. If you post any pictures of your journey online, don’t forget to include the hashtag #AllertonWinterWonders.
Thanks to the generous support of Kirby Medical Center for helping to encourage the community to get outside and stay active in the cold! The Walk is free, but donations are appreciated to help continue and improve your experience in the future. You can make a gift here or at the Visitor Center along the Walk.
*The Walk will be closed Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1 so our staff can enjoy the holidays.
