SUMMARY:Mystic Monday: Predictive Tarot
DESCRIPTION:Experience level: Beginner; should have some tarot knowledge; ages 18+ \nIt’s the start of a New Year\, and wouldn’t it be nice to have a bit of insight as to what it might bring? Grab your favorite tarot deck and come join us for Mystic Monday: Predictive Tarot on Monday\, January 11 from 6-8 p.m. in the Studio. \nLed by Llewellyn Worldwide author Charlie Rainbow Wolf\, participants will learn how to use the cards to gain insight into the energies surrounding situations and how they influence things to come. Please note this is not a fortune telling class—nothing can take away free will! Rather\, this class delves deeper into the mysteries hidden in the archetypal images of the cards and teaches how to look for signs that point to timing\, amongst other things. \nThis is a beginner-friendly workshop\, but participants should have either taken Charlie’s Introduction to Tarot class\, or already know their way around the images of the tarot cards. By the end of the class\, those attending will know how to watch for the timing signs and symbols\, and have a deeper insight as to what the images on the cards are conveying. Different ways of laying out the cards will also be taught\, and a worksheet containing layouts\, pertinent information\, and further reading will be given to all students. Space is limited to 20 places\, so be sure to register early! \n$65/person*. Register here. Registration closes January 4 or when capacity is reached. All sales are final. \n*Students should bring their preferred tarot deck. \n\nIf you will need disability-related accommodations to participate\, please email Olivia at owarren@illinois.edu. \nBy attending\, you consent to your image being used in Allerton marketing\, social media and publications. Please alert the photographer or videographer if you do not want your image taken. \n\nAbout the instructor:\nCharlie is an old hippie who’s been studying the weird ways of the world for nearly 50 years. She’s happiest when she’s got her hands in mud\, either making pottery in the ‘Artbox’ or tending to things in the yarden (yard + garden = yarden). Astrology\, tarot\, and herbs are her greatest interests\, but she’s dabbled in most metaphysical topics in the last five decades\, because life always has something new to offer. She is a contributing author for Llewellyn Worldwide\, a ghostwriter for renowned psychic celebrities\, and makes a wicked batch of fudge. She lives in central Illinois with her very patient husband and her special needs Great Danes.
