About the artists

Tania Arazi Coambs is a Champaign-Urbana native and a professional vocalist who has performed with the Chicago Symphony and at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. She is a four-time recipient of the American Prize competition—including the winner of both The American Prize Professional Art Song Division and the winner of The American Prize Chicago Music Theater Award.

Larisa Chasanov studied piano at the Belorussian State Conservatory and has been a lecturer at the Polish Academy of Music. Coambs and Chasanov have performed together frequently over the past 20 years and look forward to continuing their collaboration at Allerton.

“To have the opportunity to be inspired by nature, inspired by Allerton, I think it’s going to be an absolutely incredible experience,” Coambs said. “And to spend time with my dear friend and colleague to make music together — what a joy it will be!”
