Jun 9-13: Fine Arts
Allerton provides endless inspiration for artists using fine media. Drawing, printmaking, painting, collage and sculpture are all ways that campers will explore their fine arts skills and the wonderful world of Allerton Park!
June 16-20: Bugging Out
Bugs are incredible! From building complex homes to their efforts to pollinate plants, bugs are an integral part of the natural environment. Learn about different kinds of bugs, why they are unique and why we are grateful for them at Allerton Park!
June 23-27: Games Galore
We are taking things offline to play brain games, board games, card games and even games from around the world. Campers will play games new and old, learning game rules and fair play, all with the goal of inventing their own game that can be played with camp friends!
July 7-11: Fairytales and Forts
Through the stories of classic fairytales like The Three Little Pigs, Rapunzel, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, and Jack & the Beanstalk, campers will build forts and immerse themselves in imaginary play right here at Allerton!
July 14-18: Time Travelers
Travel back in time to learn the history of Allerton and its people. Putting on their explorer hats and using various methods of ‘travel’ around the Park, campers will dig into the search for Allerton of yesteryear, always returning each day to the present to showcase their findings!
July 21-25: Performance Arts
Music, drama, storytelling and dance are the focus of this week of camp. Campers will make their own instruments with natural materials, create a skit or two with their camp friends and dance their hearts out in the great outdoors of Allerton Park!
July 28-Aug. 1: Conservation Superheroes
Oh no! The environment is in peril!! What would Captain America do? Campers will suit up to be the superhero that we need while they explore all the different ecosystems at Allerton Park!
Aug. 4-8: Summer Celebration
It’s the last week of camp and that means it’s time to celebrate all the classic things we think of as part of the summer. Campers will enjoy water activities, gardening, reading, drawing with sidewalk chalk, playing games, eating summer food and doing lots of exploring at Allerton Park!
