Different forms and genres of writing invite us to engage with writing in different (often overlapping) ways — as a grappling with the past, an imagining of the future, an interpretation of the current moment, an argument, a dream. In imagining different metaphors for these different writing forms and genres, we’ll talk about what you’re writing, what you want from your form, and how you might bend the form to make it what you need it to be.
