Forestry Mulcher
Thanks to support from Friends of Allerton, we have been able to implement intensive invasive species management over the last few years by renting a forestry mulcher. The mulcher allowed Park staff to thin or remove nearly 90 acres of invasive species – a task which would have taken 15+ years to do by hand! Piatt County Spring Bird Count
On May 10th a group of 13 volunteers took part in the Annual Spring Bird Count, spending sunrise to sunset in all corners of Piatt County documenting migration. Thousands of individual birds were counted and 131 species were represented!
