Sometimes an enjoyable day spent in the woods can be briefly interrupted by the need to answer natures call; precisely why an experienced outdoorsman always carries an adequate supply of tissue paper (Plan A). John Edgington (UofI Dept. of NRES Dendrologist – Retired) will present the practical tree identification skills you will need to embrace Plan B: A Leaf-Based Clean-Up! Join us at the Allerton Mansion for this life-saving knowledge as well as a presentation by Jay Hayek (University of Illinois Extension Specialist) on the Biggest Trees in Illinois. Cash Bar will be available during this event. Registration is required; please call (217)333-3287.

Note: If your interested in learning more about our native trees check out our all-day tree identification workshop planned for earlier in the day.
